Catalytic production of valuable chemicals (non-CO2 related). Methane is the main constituent of natural gas; however, the catalytic conversion of methane to useful feedstock chemicals is a long-standing challenge. The team is undertaking efforts to synthesize a new type of heterogeneous catalysts, where metal nanocrystals are embedded in single nanocrystals of MOFs.
